Hello everyone. Man it's been a crazy couple of weeks. We were out of town during the week of Thanksgiving. It made it even more difficult on us because Audrey needed a blood transfusion the Monday before Thanksgiving. We had a feeling we knew the reason ( she hadn't been feeling well for a few weeks) and today thankfully we received good news. It has been over 2 weeks since Audrey's transfusion and her blood count today was 11.2 which is excellent for Audrey! It has been very stressful on us because we didn't know if Audrey was losing response to the steroid she takes ( the only reason Audrey makes red blood cells is because she takes a powerful steroid everyday) or if it was because she was sick. We still have a few weeks to go for another blood test, but today's test was very positive! We have received and been receiving a ton of messages and have been trying to answer them all. Please know we appreciate everyone on this page and mean no disrespect if we haven't responded, or we initially responded and haven't gotten back to you. We have been super stressed as well as working our jobs ( both my wife and I have to work full time jobs), getting Audrey to school and helping with homework, shuffling doctors appointments and then trying yo fit in normal life! Please reach out to me if I have neglected to get back to you! Again thank you all so much for supporting Audrey as well as my wife and I. You really do help. My daughter is one of the best things that has ever happened in my life and dealing with her life threatening illness is not easy. ALL of you give me and my family strength.
