Alp Eğitim Merkezi'nde ahşap ve manzara odaklı sürdürülebilir mimari yaklaşım

@maa_at_work tarafından Leysin'de, Vaud Alpleri'nin yamacında konumlanan Alp Eğitim Merkezi “Les Cabris", doğrusal kütle kurgusu ve cam koridoruyla manzara, ışık ve çevresel bağlamla doğrudan ilişki kuruyor. Güney yönündeki geniş dolaşım aksı, güneş ışığını içeri alırken sosyal etkileşim, grup etkinlikleri ve ortak kullanım için geçirgen bir iç mekân bandı oluşturuyor. Kuzeyde yer alan odalar ise orman sınırına yakın konumlarıyla daha dingin, mahrem ve içe dönük bir mekân deneyimi sunuyor. Ahşap taşıyıcı sistemin iç mekânda açıkta bırakılması, yapının konstrüksiyonunu görünür kılarak sade fakat okunabilir bir mekânsal karakter oluşturuyor.


Çığ yükü koşulları nedeniyle beton temelle yerel ahşabın birlikte kullanılması, yapıya hem dayanıklılık hem de sürdürülebilirlik açısından dengeli bir yaklaşım kazandırıyor. Dış cephede kullanılan koyu tonlu, üst üste binen ahşap kaplamalar ışık-gölge etkisiyle çevresiyle uyum sağlarken, bölgedeki yaşlanmış dağ yapılarına referans veren bir görünüm oluşturuyor. İç mekânda açık renkli ahşap, Rhône çakıllı terrazzo zemin ve agrega beton yüzeyler sakin, yalın ve dengeli bir malzeme paleti sunuyor.

Sustainable architectural approach focused on wood and landscape at the Alp Education Center


Located in Leysin, on the slopes of the Vaud Alps, the Alp Education Center “Les Cabris" by @maa_at_work establishes a direct relationship with the landscape, light, and environmental context through its linear massing and glass corridor. The wide circulation axis on the south side allows sunlight to enter while creating a permeable interior space band for social interaction, group activities, and shared use. The rooms on the north side, with their proximity to the forest edge, offer a more tranquil, private, and introverted spatial experience. Leaving the wooden structural system exposed in the interior reveals the building's construction, creating a simple yet legible spatial character.


The use of concrete foundations combined with local timber, due to avalanche load conditions, provides the building with a balanced approach in terms of both durability and sustainability. The dark-toned, overlapping wooden cladding used on the exterior harmonizes with its surroundings through the interplay of light and shadow, creating an appearance that references the aged mountain structures in the region. Inside, light-colored wood, Rhône pebble terrazzo flooring, and aggregate concrete surfaces offer a calm, simple, and balanced material palette.
