Anish Kapoor ve Arata Isozaki’nin şişirilebilir konser salonu Avrupa’da ilk kez kuruluyor

Heykeltıraş Anish Kapoor ve mimar Arata Isozaki'nin 2013 yılında geliştirdiği şişirilebilir konser salonu Ark Nova, Lucerne Festivali @lucernefestival kapsamında Avrupa'da ilk kez izleyiciyle buluşacak. 2011 Tōhoku depremi ve tsunamisinin ardından müzik aracılığıyla toplumsal bir iyileşme alanı yaratmak amacıyla tasarlanan yapı, hem geçici bir kültürel mekân hem de taşınabilir bir kamusal sanat eseri olarak öne çıkıyor.


Yaklaşık 18 metre yüksekliğinde ve 9.117 metreküp hacmindeki salon, PVC kaplı polyester membranla oluşturulan esnek bir kabuğa sahip. Üç fanla hava basıncıyla ayakta duran pembe form, çim zemini korumak için çelik bir platform üzerine yerleştiriliyor. 500 kişilik kapasiteye sahip Ark Nova, hem heykelsi hem mimari nitelikleriyle kamusal alanın geçicilik kavramını yeniden tartışmaya açıyor. Lucerne'deki geçici konaklamasıyla yapı, mimarlığın taşınabilirlik ve toplumsal dayanışma eksenindeki potansiyelini bir kez daha görünür kılıyor.

Sculptor Anish Kapoor and architect Arata Isozaki's inflatable concert hall Ark Nova, developed in 2013, will meet audiences for the first time in Europe as part of the Lucerne Festival @lucernefestival. Designed to create a space for social healing through music following the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, the structure stands out as both a temporary cultural venue and a portable public art piece.


Approximately 18 meters high and with a volume of 9,117 cubic meters, the hall has a flexible shell made of PVC-coated polyester membrane. The pink form, which stands upright with air pressure from three fans, is placed on a steel platform to protect the grass ground. With a capacity of 500 people, Ark Nova reopens the debate on the concept of temporariness in public spaces with its sculptural and architectural qualities. With its temporary stay in Lucerne, the structure once again highlights the potential of architecture in terms of portability and social solidarity.
