KOI balığı ile bütünleşen kompakt kafe tasarımı

KOI Café, Farming Architects @farming.architects tarafından 2017 yılında Hanoi'de mevcut üç katlı bir konut yapısının yeniden işlevlendirilmesiyle tasarlanıyor. 88 m²'lik sınırlı alanda kafe işlevi ile KOI balığı akvaryumunu bir araya getiren proje, kullanıcıyı doğa, su öğesi ve iç mekân deneyimi arasında sakin bir geçişe davet eden kontrollü bir mekânsal kurgu öneriyor. Çelik taşıyıcı sistem, yapının sökülebilir ve yeniden kurulabilir nitelikte hafif ve esnek bir yapı mantığıyla ele alınmasını sağlıyor.


Cephede kullanılan Batrang çift geleneksel kiremit, yapının kent içindeki konumuna rağmen yerel malzeme kültürüyle ilişki kuran bir yüzey oluşturuyor. Tüm cepheyi saran ince çatı katmanı, yakın çevredeki yapıların durağan kütlelerinden ayrışarak hafif bir kabuk etkisi oluşturuyor. İç mekânda ahşap paletlerin yeniden kullanılması ise geri dönüşüm odaklı, ölçülü ve işlevsel bir tasarım yaklaşımını destekliyor.

Compact cafe design integrated with KOI fish


KOI Café was designed by Farming Architects in 2017 by repurposing an existing three-story residential building in Hanoi. The project, which combines a café function with a KOI fish aquarium in a limited 88 m² space, proposes a controlled spatial design that invites users to experience a serene transition between nature, water elements, and the interior space. The steel structural system allows the building to be approached with a lightweight and flexible construction logic that is demountable and reassembled.


The Batrang double traditional tiles used on the facade create a surface that relates to the local material culture despite the building's urban location. The thin roof layer enveloping the entire facade creates a light shell effect, distinguishing it from the static masses of nearby buildings. The reuse of wooden pallets in the interior supports a recycling-focused, measured, and functional design approach.
