Okayama ormanlarında doğayla bütünleşen çağdaş kır evi 🏡

Okayama dağlarının eteklerinde konumlanan bu kır konutu, Shigeru Ban'ın eski ortağı Rei Mitsui tarafından Rob ve Junko çifti için tasarlanıyor. Yaklaşık 100 metrekarelik yapı, yaşam alanı aracılığıyla birbirine bağlanan iki çok katlı kanattan oluşuyor. Geniş cam yüzeyleri ve keskin geometrisiyle çevresindeki doğal dokuya zıt bir duruş sergilese de yapı, orman peyzajının bir parçası haline geliyor.


Mitsui, geleneksel Japon mekânsal anlayışını çağdaş bir dil üzerinden yeniden yorumluyor. Gömme oturma alanı, cam çatı düzlemi ve açık plan mutfak, iç ve dış mekân arasında geçirgen bir ilişki kuruyor. Konut, doğayla bütünleşen fakat biçimsel olarak çağdaş bir tavır sergileyen dengeli bir mimari deneyim sunuyor.

A contemporary country house blending with nature in the Okayama forests 🏡


Located at the foot of the Okayama mountains, this country house was designed by Rei Mitsui, former partner of Shigeru Ban, for Rob and Junko. The approximately 100-square-meter structure consists of two multi-story wings connected by a living area. Despite contrasting with the surrounding natural landscape with its large glass surfaces and sharp geometry, the structure becomes part of the forest landscape.


Mitsui reinterprets the traditional Japanese spatial understanding through a contemporary language. The sunken seating area, glass roof plane, and open-plan kitchen create a permeable relationship between the interior and exterior spaces. The residence offers a balanced architectural experience that integrates with nature while maintaining a contemporary formal approach.
