Tarn Nehri Üzerinde Yeni Yaya ve Bisiklet Köprüsü

Fransa'nın Tarn bölgesinde yer alan Albi kentinde, 2025 yılı itibarıyla hizmete açılan yeni yaya ve bisiklet köprüsü, şehrin iki yakasını birbirine bağlayan işlevsel bir geçiş hattı olarak tasarlanıyor. Proje, Belçika merkezli mimarlık ve mühendislik ofisi Ney & Partners tarafından geliştiriliyor. Yaklaşık 200 metre uzunluğunda ve 3,5 ila 7 metre arasında değişen genişliğe sahip yapı, UNESCO Dünya Mirası statüsündeki Albi Episkopal Kenti çevresindeki tarihi viyadük ayaklarına entegre ediliyor.


Tasarım sürecinde viyadüğün mevcut kemerleriyle hizalanan yedi adet genişleme noktası, kullanıcılar için birer duraklama ve yön değiştirme alanı olarak işlev görüyor. Köprü, kent merkezinden Tarn Nehri'ni geçerek Pratgraussals bölgesine kadar uzanıyor ve nehir kıyısındaki L'Échappée Verte (GR 36) yürüyüş rotasına bağlanıyor. Bu yeni hat yaya ve bisikletli kullanıcılar için alternatifli ve erişilebilir bir güzergâh sunmayı hedefliyor. Köprünün inşaat süreci 2017'de başlıyor ancak çeşitli teknik ve bürokratik nedenlerle uzayarak 2025'te tamamlanıyor. Köprü, mimari olarak mevcut altyapıya zarar vermeden yerleştirilmiş metal taşıyıcı sistemiyle dikkat çekiyor ve herhangi bir motorlu taşıt trafiğine kapalıdır.

The new pedestrian and bicycle bridge in the city of Albi in the Tarn region of France, which opens in 2025, is designed as a functional crossing line connecting the two sides of the city. The project is being developed by Belgium-based architecture and engineering practice Ney & Partners. Approximately 200 meters long and ranging in width from 3.5 to 7 meters, the structure is integrated into the historic viaduct abutments around the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Episcopal City of Albi.


Seven expansion points, aligned with the existing arches of the viaduct during the design process, function as pause and diversion points for users. The bridge spans the Tarn River from the city center to the Pratgraussals area and connects to the L'Échappée Verte (GR 36) riverside walking route. The new line aims to provide an alternative and accessible route for pedestrians and cyclists. Construction of the bridge began in 2017, but was delayed for various technical and bureaucratic reasons and will be completed in 2025. Architecturally, the bridge stands out with its metal support system placed without damaging the existing infrastructure and is closed to any motorized vehicle traffic.
